Do I need an app or just a better website?
Most small businesses need a site that loads on a phone, shows up on Google, and takes a message. An app is extra weight unless people will open it on purpose.
Start with the website if
Customers find you once, buy or book, and leave. If the current site is slow, hard to update, or invisible on Maps, fix that first. An app on top of a broken site just hides the leak.
An app is worth it if
People come back: a daily habit, loyalty, routing, a catalog they live in, something that needs the camera or notifications. We ship iOS and Android, including apps that match a site we already host.
You can wait
A good mobile website is not “we will do native later.” For a lot of shops it is the product. If you already have an app that crashes or got rejected, that is a different job — debug and review, not a new idea.
